Napolitano: "It's Media's Fault They Reported 2000 Illegal Immigrant Release..." Huh?

In another classic example of Orwellian doublespeak, Homeland Security Secretary Napolitano says that Immigration released 2000 low risk illegal immigrants, of which 200, she emphasized, were related to the "looming" Obama Sequester Cuts.

A Washington Examiner staff writer, Charlie Spiering, says that

"...During a Politico Playbook breakfast in Washington D.C. this morning, Department of Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano bitterly denounced the news media last week for revealing that the agency released over 2,000 illegal immigrants ahead of the sequester cuts..."

According to Spiering, Napolitano admits to releasing 200 illegal immigrants related to the looming Obama Sequester Cuts, and then admits that more are set to be released under the same program. (See Story HERE).

Not only does her fake outrage at the Associated Press story detract from the absurdity of her actions, she nixes taking responsibility and throws her junior officers under the bus.  Says Spiering:

"...Napolitano defended the actions blaming “career officials” who decided to put 'very low level low risk detainees' could be put in a “supervised release program.'..."

So while she appears to have outrage and seemingly denies that 2000 illegal immigrants were released, Napolitano admits that 2000 illegal immigrants were released and that thousands more will follow, while minimizing those numbers by saying that only 200 were related to the Obama Sequester cuts.

Oh!  I get it. Well, by all means, release more "low risk" illegal immigrants, by the thousands, if you must.  Just pad it with a few Sequester Related releases and that will make it ok, eh Janet?

Apparently from the Spiering story not a one (reporter) challenged Napolitano's doublespeak.
